The 9 Features — What Each One Does
1. Video in Motion (VIM)
BMW disables video playback on the iDrive 7 screen when the car is moving. VIM removes this restriction. Passengers can watch video through connected devices, USB, or streaming apps on supported models. One of the most requested codings for G-Series owners worldwide — particularly popular in the USA, UAE, and Saudi Arabia where long highway driving is common.
2. Auto Start-Stop Memory OFF
The factory default resets start-stop to ON every time you start the car. After this coding, the system remembers your last preference. If you had it off, it stays off on next ignition. No more pressing the button every single drive.
3. Reverse Mirror Tilt 49°
When you select reverse, the driver-side mirror tilts down 49° to show the kerb line. BMW includes the hardware for this on most G-Series builds — it’s just not activated. Extremely useful in tight urban parking — common request from customers in Dubai, London, and Sydney where parallel parking on tight streets is daily life.
4. M Startup Animation
On ignition, the iDrive shows the M Performance rev counter animation — the signature needle sweep that M vehicles get from the factory. Not locked to M models; activatable on all G-Series with iDrive 7.
5. Sport Plus / Comfort Plus Modes
Expands the drive mode selector with Sport Plus (sharper throttle, firmer suspension at the limit) and Comfort Plus (maximum cushioning for motorway cruising). BMW restricts these modes in certain markets; ENET coding restores the full range.
6. One-touch Window After Ignition Off
By default, power windows stop working the moment you turn off the engine. After this coding, windows respond to the switches for approximately 30 seconds after ignition off — long enough to close them after parking. Standard on German-market BMWs from the factory; coded in for export models.
7. Disclaimer Screen Removed
Every iDrive 7 startup shows a terms/disclaimer screen requiring you to tap OK before the infotainment works. This coding removes that screen permanently. Small thing, noticeable every single day.
8. Key Fob Tailgate Close
Press the tailgate button on the key fob to close the boot remotely — not just open it. Useful when you’ve loaded the car and your hands are full. Works on G05 X5, G07 X7, and other G-Series with powered tailgates.
9. Mirror Fold on Lock
Mirrors fold automatically every time you lock the car. No need for the Comfort Access option or the manual button in the door. The mirrors unfold when you unlock. Works especially well in tight garages and on narrow streets.

The Remote Session Process
You need three things on your end:
- BMW ENET cable — OBD2 to Ethernet adapter. ~$25 on Amazon. Search “BMW ENET cable”. You keep it after the session.
- Windows laptop — any model, any age. Just needs to run TeamViewer.
- TeamViewer — free download from teamviewer.com. Used for our remote connection.
Once connected: park the car, ignition on (engine off), ENET cable in the OBD port and into your laptop. We connect via TeamViewer and handle everything through E-Sys. You watch every step in real time. Session ends when all 9 features are tested and confirmed working.

Anti-Dazzle Coding — What It Does on G-Series BMWs
BMW’s anti-dazzle system (NGHB) uses the front camera to detect oncoming headlights or taillights of vehicles ahead. When traffic is detected, the high beams automatically dim to avoid blinding other drivers — then return to full brightness once the road is clear. On most G-Series BMWs, the hardware for this is present but BMW leaves the feature disabled in software for certain markets.
After ENET coding: high beams switch on/off automatically based on traffic. You leave the stalk in high-beam position — the car handles the rest. Popular with customers in UAE (long desert highways), USA (rural interstates), and Australia (outback driving).
Hardware requirement: Adaptive LED headlights (SA 5AS) or laser headlights (SA 5AZ). If your G-Series does not have these options, anti-dazzle cannot be activated. Send your VIN — we check your option codes for free before you purchase.
