BMW Digital Speedometer & Sport Display: How to Enable Both via Coding
Share
Two of the most popular display upgrades for BMW G-Series owners are the Digital Speedometer and Sport Display Gauges — both are present in the car's software but disabled by default in many markets and trim levels.
BMW Digital Speedometer
The Digital Speedometer coding activates a large, clear numerical speed display within the instrument cluster's digital area. On models with a HUD (Head-Up Display), it can also be configured to appear on the windshield. It replaces the analog needle readout with a prominent km/h or mph number that is immediately readable at a glance.

BMW Sport Display Gauges
Sport Display unlocks a real-time performance widget in the iDrive centre screen displaying: oil temperature, coolant temperature, boost pressure (turbocharged models), and power output in kW. This is factory-present on M Sport and M vehicles but often coded off for base trim levels.
