How It's Done
Remote OBD flash session. You'll plug a supplied OBD adapter into your car; we connect remotely and write the new TCU map. Takes ~30 minutes. No driving, no engine running needed. Everything runs through the OBD-II port — no opening the gearbox, no removing the TCU.

What's Not Covered
This is a TCU (transmission) tune only — engine ECU is not touched. Stack with an engine map separately if you want a combined Stage 1/2 build.

What does a TCU tune actually change in feel?
Sharper, faster gear shifts (especially in Sport modes), more aggressive kickdown response, extended gear hold near redline, and faster manual paddle response. Doesn't add power directly — improves how the car uses existing power.
Will this work alongside an ECU Stage 1/2 tune?
Yes — ECU and TCU tunes are complementary. We tune the TCU to handle increased torque from Stage 1 ECU tunes safely. Bundle pricing available — ask in order notes.
Which G-chassis cars use ZD8 and are eligible?
ZD8 is the ZF 8HP eight-speed in modern G-chassis: G20 320i/330i/M340i, G30 530i/540i/M550i, G05 X5 30i/40i, G06 X6 40i, G42, G70, and most 2019+ rear-wheel-drive BMWs (excluding M3/M4 with DCT/M-Steptronic, which use a different gearbox).
Is this remote or do I need to ship the TCU?
Fully remote. Connect a compatible OBD cable (we can include), we connect via remote desktop session, flash the TCU in ~20 minutes, you keep driving. No shipping.
If BMW reflashes my TCU at service, do I lose the tune?
Yes — dealer software updates can revert. We re-flash for free within 12 months if this happens. Most service visits don't touch TCU firmware.
