X-series and Z4 (G29) have slightly different door, tailgate, and convertible top wiring than sedan BMWs. This variant is tuned to handle: rear power tailgate, auto-folding mirrors, sunroof on X-models, and Z4 power soft-top behavior. Sedan module would miss these.
Can I make my X5 close all windows when I walk away?
Yes — plus the rear tailgate/hatch can be configured to close on lock. All side windows + sunroof + tailgate auto-close on key fob lock.
Will it work with my Z4 (G29) soft-top?
