BMW Anti-Dazzle Headlights Coding activates the glare-free high beam system that BMW installed but left disabled. The camera detects oncoming traffic and creates shadow zones around other vehicles while keeping the rest of the road fully illuminated. Remote coding via ENET, 15-minute session. $199-249 USD at M-TRI UPGRADE.

BMW Anti-Dazzle Headlight Coding — activate the factory Glare-Free High Beam (NGHB / VLD) on your BMW for $199 USD (F/G Series) or $249 (2023+ LCI with iDrive 8.5+). Works on all BMW models with Adaptive LED (SA552) or Laser (SA5AZ) headlights. The system uses the existing KAFAS windshield camera to detect oncoming traffic and creates automatic shadow cutouts while keeping high beams on everywhere else — you never need to manually switch between high and low beam again. Available to BMW owners worldwide via remote coding session (15 minutes, ENET cable required). Particularly popular with US and Canadian BMW owners where this feature is disabled from the factory despite the hardware being present. M-TRI UPGRADE, WhatsApp +6421920905.

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • Your BMW has adaptive LED or laser headlights but the high beam still blinds oncoming drivers, so you never use it?
  • You bought your F30, G20, or G30 used and noticed a newer or higher-spec BMW doing something clever with its high beams that yours simply won't do?
  • Your dealer quoted you hundreds of dollars just to flip a software switch that's already built into your car?
  • You've read about Glare-Free High Beam (NGHB) online and can't figure out why your BMW doesn't offer it in the iDrive menu?
  • You drive rural or unlit roads regularly and avoid high beams entirely because switching them off and on constantly is too distracting?
  • You know the hardware is already in your headlight units — you just need someone to unlock what BMW left disabled from the factory?

BMW Anti-Dazzle Headlights Coding — Glare-Free High Beam Activation

Unlock the full potential of your BMW's adaptive headlights with our remote Anti-Dazzle coding service. This enables the Glare-Free High Beam (NGHB / VLD) feature, allowing you to use high beams continuously without blinding oncoming traffic.

What Is Anti-Dazzle?

Anti-Dazzle, also known as Glare-Free High Beam (NGHB) or Variable Light Distribution (VLD), is an advanced BMW headlight feature. Instead of switching high beams on and off, your adaptive headlights intelligently shape the beam to avoid dazzling other drivers while keeping the rest of the road brightly illuminated.

How It Works

  • A front-facing camera detects other road users in real time
  • The headlights automatically create shaded zones around detected vehicles
  • The remaining road stays lit with full high-beam intensity
  • Transitions are smooth and natural — no abrupt on/off switching

Benefits

  • Safer night driving with extended high-beam visibility
  • Reduced eye strain and quicker reaction times
  • More natural and comfortable lighting transitions
  • Full use of BMW Adaptive LED or Laser Light technology

Requirements

  • Adaptive LED Lights or BMW Laser Lights must be installed on your vehicle
  • ENET Cable (OBD2 to Ethernet)
  • Windows PC or macOS
  • TeamViewer installed
  • Stable internet connection

How the Service Works

  1. Place your order and select your variant
  2. We will email you to schedule a remote coding session
  3. Connect the ENET cable between your car and PC
  4. Our technician connects via TeamViewer and completes the coding
  5. The entire process takes approximately 10–15 minutes

Frequently Asked Questions

What's anti-dazzle high beam vs regular high beam?

Standard auto-high-beam toggles ALL high beam on/off based on oncoming traffic. Anti-dazzle keeps high beam ON but uses LED matrix segments to selectively dim only the area around oncoming vehicles — you keep maximum visibility on roadside while not blinding others.

Does my BMW need specific hardware for this to work?

Yes — requires factory adaptive LED or Laser headlights with matrix segments. Not compatible with standard halogen, basic LED (single beam), or non-adaptive headlamps. Look for 'Adaptive LED' or 'Laserlight' on your build sheet.

Why isn't this on by default in my market?

Many regions historically restricted matrix beam shaping due to older headlight regulations. Hardware is fitted at factory but software is locked off. ECE regulations now allow it in most markets — this coding activates what your hardware was built to do.

Is this coding-only or hardware change?

Coding only. Remote OBD session ~30 minutes. We connect via OBD cable (you provide or we ship one), flash the headlight ECU coding, and the feature is live on your next drive.

Will this affect my main beam, low beam, or fog lights?

No. Only the high-beam matrix behavior changes. Low beam, fog, DRL, indicators all unchanged. Fully reversible.
