Why a different module for i Series vs petrol BMWs?
BMW EVs (i4, iX, i7, iX3, etc.) use a different CAN bus topology and electrical architecture than petrol G-chassis cars. This variant is tuned for EV bus signaling and includes EV-specific features (charge port behavior, regen reminders) that don't apply to ICE BMWs.
Can I get auto-close windows on my BMW iX?
Yes — this is the primary feature most iX owners install for. Lock with the key fob or app, all windows close automatically (sunroof too on iX with optional roof).
Will it interfere with EV-specific systems like one-pedal driving or B mode?
No. Module operates only on comfort/convenience signals. Drive modes, regen settings, charging, and EV powertrain functions are completely unaffected.
Will it drain my high-voltage or 12V battery?
No. Sleeps with the vehicle bus. Microamp standby — no measurable battery impact even after weeks of inactivity.
