How to check: Look inside your headlight housing for any blue accent markings. Laser headlights have a distinctive blue element visible from the outside. You can also check your vehicle order (VO) for option code S5AZ. If you are not sure, send us your VIN and we will verify.
Color Options
- CSL Yellow (Lemon Gold) — the factory M4 CSL color. Most popular choice. Matches the actual CSL exactly.
- RGB Multi-Color — app-controlled via Bluetooth. Set any color you want — yellow, red, blue, purple, or color-cycling modes. More versatile but slightly more expensive.
What Is in the Kit
Each kit includes 4 DRL modules — 2 per headlight (inner ring and outer ring, left and right). The modules are direct OEM-spec replacements with matching electrical characteristics, so the car does not detect any change. No error codes, no dashboard warnings.
Installation Process
This is a genuine plug-and-play modification:
- Open the headlight access covers from the engine bay — there are usually 2-3 covers per side
- Locate the DRL module connectors (twist-lock type)
- Disconnect the factory white DRL module — quarter-turn counterclockwise, pull out
- Plug in the new yellow/RGB module — push in, quarter-turn clockwise to lock
- Repeat for all 4 positions
- Close covers, test DRLs, done
